*Offline event in the heart of the city Tokyo!
The 54-hour weekend startup experience, back again! *
What is entrepreneurship? How is a startup different from a venture? What does it mean to create something from scratch? To define and determine value by yourself?
Discover answers to such questions through firsthand experience and find true entrepreneurship and startup opportunities.
Originating in the USA in 2007, Startup Weekend has been held over 7,000 times worldwide with over 500,000 participants. This year, we're back with the theme of entertainment!
This year's theme is "Entertainment that can go global."
No qualifications required! No age limits! (We've had participants as young as 6 years old in the past.) No experience or skills needed. Just bring your passion and ideas.
Whether you want to start a business, find like-minded individuals, or learn about startups, motivations for previous participants have varied greatly.
While the event lasts 54 hours, it does not require overnight stays. You can join us from Saturday or just for parts of the event. Please consult with us at the time of application.
The definition of entertainment is broad, but fundamentally, it's about "pleasing people!"
It's not just about efficiency or making a quick profit; it's about creating excitement and joy in people's hearts.
Therefore, whether it's online or offline, using WEB3 or AI, the medium doesn't matter. Industry knowledge is not necessary either.
If your service can create enjoyment for users, you're welcome! Services can be tangible or intangible; there are no restrictions.
Feel free to bring your own equipment; if needed, please consult with us.
・What's the difference between customers and users?
・What's the difference between needs and wants?
・What constitutes a good question?
・What defines effective communication in the age of social media?

Startup Weekend (SW) is a "startup experience event" where you create new forms. Over the weekend, you can learn methodologies to shape your ideas into reality and experience startups firsthand.
SW starts with everyone pitching ideas on the first night. Teams are formed with hustlers, hackers, and designers, and by the evening of the final day, they develop a minimal viable business model aligned with user experience.
A majority of participants are attending for the first time alone. There's no need to worry even if it's your first time.
Facilitation will be conducted in Japanese.
